Vacancy Description:

With such a wide range of companies and a wide variety of roles it is difficult to describe day to day what you will be doing.

You will be a member of the team, responsible for understanding the problems and contributing to solving the problems with the team. Often you will be working directly with the founder or CEO gaining exposure and experiences that most apprentices can only dream of. All the roles will be dynamic, fast paced and will stretch and grow you in ways you cannot imagine. One day it might be working out how to source data from 2 million web sites, the next it might be building a machine learning model to automate the processing of a key business process. The variety will either excite and challenge you or will scare you.

Desired Skills:

The ideal candidate will be that rare blend of a technical problem solver who can communicate their thoughts, and discoveries. You must constantly be asking ‘Why?’, have a background in technology, this may through a Computer Science, Business or STEM A-Level’s or even a relevant Degree and finally, you must have a desire to get your career flying.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s Grade A-C including English and Maths
  • Business / STEM A levels or equivalent
  • Future Prospects: This is a 4-year degree apprenticeship programme
  • Working Week: 37.5 hours / week
  • Annual Wage: Depending on the role and your experience £10-£20k reviewed regularly as you develop and grow.

Training to be provided:

Initially you will undertake a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship where you will learn the hands-on skills to extract data from range of sources and systems, model the data and store it in a data store, profile and analyse the data before telling a story with it and making recommendations.

In year 2,3 and 4 you will complete the Data Analyst track of a BSc (Hons) in Digital & Technology Solutions Degree, here you will learn the theory behind what you can do. You will compete units including: Information Systems in Organisations, Data Design, Data Security, Mathematical Concepts, programming, data communications, decision making, data analytics and a final project.
