It’s exciting times in the world of apprenticeships, employers now have a greater say in what their apprentice learns, how they’ll learn and what they’ll pay for this.

These changes mean an apprentice is now more likely to be over 21, employed for three years and studying a Level 4 or Degree apprenticeship then straight from school.

As a disruptive innovator Digital Native has is looking for people to expand our coaching team across our core disciplines of Data, Software, Digital Marketing and Infrastructure.

Ideally, you’ll have experience of delivering digital apprenticeships, developing 1st rate teaching resources and supporting apprentices through their programmes or you may be in role where you’re delivering tech / digital services with a passion for developing great people.

Either way, your previous experience will have given you:

  • Coaching and developing people in the workplace
  • Current understanding of either testing, development, data, consultancy or infrastructure
  • The ability to work with stakeholders
  • A client centric view
  • An interest in designing individualised development programmes
  • Motivation to share your experience

The Role

We’re looking for people to expand our activities in Birmingham and the Midlands. It’s a varied role that will include working with local partners, meeting employers and coaching / training of apprentices.

You’ll report to the directors but we’re looking for a proactive individual who’ll help us develop a 1st rate offer. We also need someone who’ll focus on getting the job done regardless of their job description.

What could a typical working week include?

As stated, it’s a varied role but a typical week could include:

  • Overseeing a group of 12 apprentices in centre who are working through their apprenticeship assignments
  • Lecturing on a Level 4 or Degree programme
  • Meeting with employers to discuss how they can work with Digital Native
  • Meeting with local stakeholders
  • Working one to one with an apprentice experiencing difficulties
  • Providing MI reports to directors

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 Years relevant training / tech experience
  • Higher Education or equivalent (This could include vendor certificates)
  • A passion to develop the next generation of talent

Salary – competitive salary depending on experience, e.g.

  • Salary – £24k – £40k
  • 38hrs a week
  • 28 days annual leave
