Vacancy Description:

With such a wide range of companies and a wide variety of roles it is difficult to describe day to day what you will be doing.

Fundamentally, you will be a member of the team, responsible for developing solutions and contributing to meeting the goals of the team. Often you will be working directly with the founder or CEO gaining exposure and experiences that most apprentices can only dream of. All the roles will be dynamic, fast paced and will stretch and grow you in ways you cannot imagine. One day it might be developing code to fix a bug in their production code, the next it might be developing a proof of concept for a new client. The variety will either excite and challenge you or scare you.

Desired Skills:

The ideal candidate will be that rare blend of a coder who can communicate with their team mates and customers. You have a background in technology, this may through a Computer Science, Business or STEM A-Level’s or even a relevant Degree, you already code in your spare time and are looking to make the step to becoming a developer, learning the disciplines of producing industry grade code rather than just playing.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s Grade A-C including English and Maths
  • Business / STEM A levels or equivalent
  • Future Prospects: This is a 4-year degree apprenticeship programme
  • Working Week: 37.5 hours / week
  • Annual Wage: Depending on the role and your experience £10-£20k reviewed regularly as you develop and grow.

Training to be provided:

Initially you will undertake a Level 4 Software Develop Apprenticeship where you will pass an industry exam in C#. Java, HTML, CSS and JavaScript or other language.  You will learn about the process and methodologies used to produce software.

In year 2,3 and 4 you will complete the Data Analyst track of a BSc (Hons) in Digital & Technology Solutions Degree, here you will learn the theory behind what you can do. You will compete units including: Information Systems in Organisations, Data Design, Data Security, Mathematical Concepts, programming, data communications, decision making, data analytics and a final project.
